This morning we had a slow start. Caught up with all the little jobs before we left for the Lincoln National Park. It is situated in the Jussieu Peninsula which is the sw entrance to Spencer Gulf. It is a rugged peninsula with spectacular ocean and bay views. It also has a huge area of sand dunes. It is a great place for bush walks but they are all quite long. Visited the Cape Donington Lighthouse and watched a trawler and a grain ship head out to sea. On our way home we drove across the peninsula to Wanna. What great views!! Nearly hit a roo and several emus enroute as the road is pretty rough and narrow. The Wanna/Sleaford Dunes were enormous. Open to 4 Wheel Drives only, which from the tyre marks in the dunes they have been having a great time.
Forgot to say yesterday that this is the home of Makybe Diva. Quite appropriate to visit on Melbourne Cup Day.
Tonight we dined (at our Caravan Park Cabin) on Coffin Bay mornayed oysters and curried prawns and rice!
