San Francisco Day 3

Day 3 Sept San Francisco

Today we were late rising. All tired. Caught the F tram to the wharf and did a long walk along the waterfront. The end near the Bay Bridge has all been refurbished and has some fantastic shops esp. food. We then caught the cable car to Union Square where we visited Macey’s and on the 10^th floor was the “Cheesecake Shop”. It is a fabulous restaurant. We each tried a different cheese cake but I think Marg’s white chocolate, caramel & macadamia was the tastiest.

Back on the cable car to the top of Lombard Street. It is the zig-zag street with great views to the harbour. Walked down the right hand steps all 249 of them and then 253 up the left hand side!! See! We will be fit when we return. Then caught the cable car to Fisherman’s Wharf stop and had to wait an hour to get one back to City Square.
