Trip to USA Sept – Oct 2012 –

Day 1 Sept 2 Flight to the USA

After leaving Brisbane we arrived in Los Angles 13 hours 5 mins later. The flight was very good esp in the Economy Plus seats. I was a bit apprehensive as I thought they would not be much bigger than economy but they were and were most comfortable. Met up with Marg G at the airport as she flew in the day before. We only had to wait an hour or so once we were through customs. A quick flight to San Francisco found us at our motel by mid-day.

As the room was not ready, we headed off. Caught the Cable car to fisherman’s wharf and were there until 10.30 PM.

Day 2 – Sept 3 San Francisco

We all slept in this morning. Purchased a ticket for the Red Bus Tour and spent the day on the bus. We arrived at the Golden Gate to find it shrouded in fog. Returned later to discover it was still shrouded in fog so we walked across the bridge to the other side. The fog was rolling in across the bridge and the bay so we managed to get a photo when the cloud dispersed a bit.
