Albany – Esperance 24th October

Showers greeted us again this morning when we set off for Esperance. Our first stop was Two People’s Bay to the east of Albany. It was about 20km off the highway. We were lucky enough to have a break in the weather and were able to do the short walk to the beach and across the headland. It was another beautiful beach and the water was so clear.
Back to the highway and a quite boring drive to Esperance as the weather did not allow us to do any stopping to explore anywhere. We passed through acres of wheat and some huge bulk wheat holding facilities. Along this route we saw acres of eucalyptus plantations - think they were blue gum.
When we arrived in Esperance, we discovered that accommodation was going to be difficult. We did, however, find a little cottage named after us – JJ’s Holiday Cottages.
