Another day of showers. We were hoping to visit the beaches but the weather was not inviting. After lunch it looked a little clearer so we did the Great Ocean Loop Drive - about 38km west along the coast and then up to Pink Lake and back to town. We managed to dash in to look at several of the beaches and managed to climb the 70 odds steps to Observatory Point between showers but then by the time we arrived at Pink Lake the rain had really set in again. It was pouring!!! Pink Lake is similar to the one we saw near Kalbarri but at the moment this one was not pink.
On the way home we visited the studio of Cindy Poole who is a glass artist. Some of her pieces were really beautiful. We then went to see the Mermaid Leather Factory that transforms fish skins into unique leather pieces. The leather was really soft and quite beautiful. It was hard to believe that these beautiful skins were from fish such as barramundi, shark, stingray.
