Today has been a lay-day. Slept in and took a while to get mobile. Did a drive to one of the lookouts before lunch then this afternoon we drove 20 km to Eagle Bluff where you can see over the bay towards Dirk Hartog Island and across the Henri Freycinet Harbour. From the top of the bluff, you could see the sea-grass fields which seem to cover most of the Harbour. We saw several sharks swimming in the shallows. There are two species that inhabit the area – Lemon and Nervour Sharks but it was probably the Nervous Sharks that we saw. We visited the Denham Lookout and went for a walk along the beach. It was covered in shells and sea-grass. Where the sea grass was blown inland, it had hooked around the low vegetation and being exposed to the sun had turned white so it looked as though shredded paper had been strewn over the low bushes.
Went to the Aquarium but we arrived too late so will try again tomorrow.
The wind is still blowing 33km per hour but it is 22 degrees and while the cloud front is still here, it is fine.
