March 17 - Tumut - Corryong

Before leaving Tumut we visited the Visitors Centre. We were told that the road to Tom Groggins from Khancoban was not suitable for cars towing caravans or trailers. New plan! Stan! We came as far as Corryong and have set up camp in the caravan park. Tomorrow we will drive down to Tom Groggin minus the van and do a loop back to Corryong via Thredbo, Jindabyne, Adaminaby and Kiandra.
The Alpine Way from Tumut to Corryong is a really pretty drive. The country looks really good. Stopped at Batlow from some of their famous potatoes and apples then had coffee in Tumbarumba. After Tumbarumba. Jo & I drove the 2kms in to see the Paddys River Falls. They were almost alongside the road and lots of water tumbling down. Just before Corryong, we crossed the Murray River and found ourselves in Victoria.
